Few changes in habits can add up to a big change, our every small step improves our overall health and quality of life as path to better health doesn’t mean bringing huge change in a go or making huge leaps but incorporation of small habits into our routine can make a difference because small activities and strategies will be easy to maintain for a long haul and will add up to a bid positive effect on our overall health.
- Overcome stress and enjoy
To overcome stress, regular exercise, meditation, doing yoga is effective but stress can be reduce by many other simple ways – as talk to your loved ones, crack jokes with them, listen to them, listen to some soothing music, read good content, play with your family have a healthy life and lovely fight with them, tease your closest one, help someone will keep you relaxed and de-stressed.De-stress is much important because prolonged stress exacerbate number of health problems that includes the major ones like heart disease, stroke, fluctuations in blood pressure, depression, migraine, obesity etc.
Our suggestible steps are – Be with your loved ones, talk to them, listen to them, listen to soothing music, read positive and good content, play with your family, tease and have healthy fight with them, help someone. These steps doesn’t require different time frame or a time table, just do it with your work and make these things as a habit.
Your enjoyment even for 5 minutes, keeps your stress away from your everyday life. Just incorporating these above few habits to your daily life chart will help you feel calmer, more refreshed and energized towards every aspect of life.
Stress-free person has an improved immune system and in better physical condition always.
- Keep the salt out of your health chart
Keeping the salt in the sight makes it all too easy to consume excess salt leading to high blood pressure. So we must not use excessive salt or if possible we can use different seasoning blend that could add on the taste and flavor our food.We may use lot more natural grown veggies and salt-free seasoning blend to make our food healthier and tasteful to eat such that it would keep us out of risk of life can make our brain and physique healthy life.
Our suggestible steps are – Try avoiding intake of much salt to maintain the proper blood pressure leading to all major health problems.
Early to bed, early to rise
The shortage of sleep in our daily life can raise our risk of a heart attack or stroke regardless of our age, weight, exercise habits and food habits.
We must minimum maintain time schedule for our sleep and waking time or going to bed even 15 minutes earlier of every night and waking up 15 minutes earlier of every morning could help us to change our habit of going to bed late and waking up late. This habit brings major change in our body and mind health.
So we must go early to bed and early to rise.
Trying waking up early one day will surely make us sleep in time next night and doing same daily will later on help us maintaining the habit of early to bed and early to rise. People say that minimum 21 days of activity makes our habit so we must try doing it minimum for first 21 days and proceed accordingly.
Early to rise gives us ample time to think and systemize our daily routine as we gets time with fresh mind to set our dialy time table accordingly and doing tough work at early hours of the day with full efficiency, accuracy and effective ness. Post our deep sleep of 6-8 hours, our mind relaxes completely and we can always start a fresh daily in the morning with no noise and peace all across. This habit of early to rise also makes us disciplined towards our time management, work management and daily routine management and it keeps us stress free.
Posture and Ergonomics in place
Proper posture and ergonomics stature keeps us away from back pains, neck strains, eye strain and dizziness. It makes us feel relieved, relaxed and concentrated towards work. So whenever we take our place for dining or working we must take a moment to think about our posture and how we are sitting. While sitting we must straighten up our back, tuck in our stomach and put feet flat on the floor with our uncrossed legs that helps us to maintain concentration to our work, and helps us to feel relaxed and relieved. With the advancement in the technology, we are hampering our health much and decreasing our life span. We avoid all physical work that jams our body and impacts us badly. So we must try to avoid most of the unimportant activities with our physical activity as like we always experiences long computer sitting work without taking regular break and doing stretching exercise. So we shall take regular breaks without fail while doing any of the sitting jobs for a long time and also must to stretching in the regular span to keep our body flexible and soothing throughout the day.
We must always bypass the elevator and climb the stair instead, while going to any of the higher floor that help us maintaining our physical activity daily, get our blood pumping, and exercise our lung and work the muscles in our lower body. Walking or climbing is one of the best activities to burn the calories and burn the unwanted fat of the body, it helps in proper regulation of blood flow in arteries and veins. It keeps our body away of lot more diseases and also help in maintaining physique and body posture.
Our suggestible steps are – Always take a moment to think about your posture before starting any activity as our posture is the major part to maintain our physical personality, enhance the concentration toward work and to eradicate all the back problems and strains that we experiences in our daily life.
Mental exercise
Researches defines that all the mental challenging activities always have a protective effect on our brain such as reading books or any positive content, doing puzzles alphabetic jumbles or Sodoku, playing chess or any mental activity game. We must always keep our mind engaged with any of the positive activities that help lower our risk for the dementia associated with Alzheimer’s diseases, maintains proper blood flow through our brain and keeps our brain fresh and active always. These all activities maintain our brain health.
Or if we do not enjoy the above activities than we can even incorporate few habits to our daily routine that would keep our brain involved with mental challenging activities maintain our mental health such activities are like eating with our non-dominant hand, doing most of the activities with different technique daily like walk a new route home from work or work from home.
Our suggestible steps are – We must not forget to take care of our mental health as brain is the most important part our body as without it a person is dead, we do not have any alternative of brain, we may do the heart transplantation but we yet not been able to do brain transplantation. Brain is the major art of the body that regulates all the activities of our body blood regulation to reaction to any of the stimulus. So we must keep doing mental challenging activities to have a protective effect on our brain.
Diet Habits
Diet plays the major role in maintaining mental and physical health of human body. Our sanskars are imbibed in us with what we take, so we must always be specific with what we are taking that impact us in what and how we want to be.
We need to remove most pasta, junk foods, rice with healthier whole grain version.
We can replace our sugary drink (tetra packed juices, soda etc.) with fresh juice or with tall glass of water.
We need to reduce use of much salt in our diet.
We must take food in proper and regular interval that can be every 2 hours or so.
Between our all the major meals, if we feels hungry rather than the candy bars or junk food habits we shall take handful of almonds or cashews, fruits, carrot etc.
Our suggestible steps are – We must be very specific regarding our diet as it plays most important role in maintaining our physical and mental health.
